About us

Rehabilitation, rooted in compassion.

KindCare Network is a Kenyan NGO dedicated to helping vulnerable children with disabilities develop their abilities and participate more fully in life.

Our background

KindCare Network grew from the charitable work of Dr Cynthia Wangui Mugambi. Today it is a rescue and rehabilitation centre based in Kamangu, Kiambu County — not a conventional children's home.

We support more than 120 children across Kajiado, Kiambu and Murang'a. At our Ngamba facility, behind Farm Feeds in Kamangu, 30 children board with us — 25 with disabilities and 5 without.

Our work focuses on rehabilitation, stimulating mobility and awareness, improving functional abilities and supporting each child's development.

Our vision

A world where every child with a disability has the opportunity to develop their abilities and thrive.

Our mission

To support vulnerable children with disabilities through rehabilitation-focused care, mobility support, developmental stimulation and opportunities for greater independence.

Our values

Dignity

Every child is treated with respect, privacy and care.

Compassion

We meet each child and family with patience and warmth.

Inclusion

Children with disabilities belong fully in family and community life.

Transparency

We are accountable to the children, families and supporters we serve.
